People these days

So I've decided that Ive almost lost all hope in people. Well people in Abbottsfeild at least. In the last few days the weirdest stuff has happened while just walking around that area. yesterday my friend was on his way home and witnessed a man getting shot and killed. It made me wonder. How can one person have the gull and complete unappreciation for life enough to be able to do something like that. The man wasn't even a younger man. According to said friend, he was quite elderly. Now I don't really have all of the facts but the bare minimum is enough for me. I don't really understand that kind of motive. Just the thought of something like that not only makes me sick to my stomach but also has kinda given me a new appreciation for every day I wake up and for the ability to make my way to school. Even if if it hasn't renewed any kind of faith in Abbottsfielders. Anyway in the same two days I've not only been almost jumped twice and asked for the contents of my backpack, but I've been threatened several times. All I can really say to that is, well...what is wrong with some people these days. Wow
