in response to "wishes"
wow. "wishes" was rather unspecific. i had to create new post since i couldn't comment on a draft. sorry about that.
by the way, Casey's account was deleted (or something of that nature) therefore he hasn't been able to post anything, but he wanted me to tell you that he is still interested in the project even though he (against his will) hasn't contributed.
so wishes.
when i was little i watched an episode of looney toons where daffy was riding in a car with porky and his family. they drove under a bridge with a moving train over top, and everyone held their breath and made a wish - everyone but daffy. so all the pigs were expanding and turning red, and daffy was getting squished by the ever expanding pigs. finally (after a ridiculously long period of time) they get out from under the train and porky and his family regain their original size and shade, leaving daffy deflated and lying on the ground. i, of course, found this hillarious. and that memory of wishes always stayed with me.
i also had a wishing box when i was little. it had a little poem on it about wishing. you were supposed to put a penny in the little hole and make a wish. the poem went like this:
"Place a penny in the slot
Close your eyes
& wish a lot
your sweetest dreams
will all come true,
so just imagine!
It's up to you!"
i can't remember any of my wishes though.... hmm...
and this talk about wishes reminds me of hope, and hope reminds me of the funniest thing i ever found on the internet. it's a picture of an anti-aging cream. here is the picture:
and it's not working. sorry. point is, the cream was called "hope in a jar". and the slogan is: "where there is hope there can be faith, where there is faith miracles can occur." i found that hillarious. because it's basically saying that you need a miracle to look better.

Wow. The reason the draft was unspecific is because I hadn't finished writing it yet! I didn't realize you guys could read the drafts too. Oops. But I'm glad you posted anyway, Molly. I needed some inspiration to rewrite the post that got deleted... Okay. I'm going to do that now. It might show up a few posts before this one since I think it goes in the order of the day saved rather than posted. So scroll down for a bit to find it.
I like the aging cream add. And the looney tunes story. Now I want to know what Molly wishes for. Jessie too.
Oh -- and tell Casey to email me at janis.craft@gmail.com and i'll send him another invite and he can set up another username. I miss him on this thing and want him to write!
you basically nailed jessie's wishes in my mind. (in your monologue of hers) beautifully done.
molly doesn't wish. - that's a lie. molly can't think of any of her past or present wishes. i have a faulty memory.
i absolutly will tell casey to email you. but i won't see him again until monday.... and it's friday.... so you'll have to wait. terribly sorry. although since we've waited so long already i'm sure a few more days won't hurt.
Cool. Glad to hear I'm getting Jessie. That's of course, thanks to you for describing so much about her.
And glad to know you'll get in touch with Casey for me. If you see anyone else who hasn't been on the blogger for a while, pass them the same message, would you?
